Blood Orange Spritzer

Blood Orange Spritzer

I know the weather hasn’t really been a good indicator of it, but spring is just around the corner. While there’s amazing produce that comes during the spring, we have to bid adieu to some of our favorite citrus fruits. I’ve been seeing less and less citrus in the market and some of the ones I find don’t look very nice anymore. I was lucky enough to snag some final few blood oranges.

We were greeted by the sun this weekend in San Francisco and temperatures actually reached high 60s. I decided to use the blood oranges in some spritzers as the day was quite warm and it seemed like a nice way to usher in the warmer season with a refreshing fizzy drink. I absolutely adore my SodaStream as we’re a household that drinks a lot of fizzy water. This recipe is a great way to utilize your SodaStream without any of the added syrups and sugars from the mixes. This spritzer is super easy to make and has no sugar for those of you trying to get ready for swimsuits. It’s also a great way to stay hydrated and get some extra vitamin C!

NOTE: for those who really want a sweet element in this drink, you can add some simple syrup to it.
